About me
Hi! I’m Filip, a software engineer with over 10 years of professional experience, based in Poland.
I studied Applied Mathematics and hold a PhD in Bioinformatics from KU Leuven, where I co-developed GPU-accelerated computing libraries (BEAGLE) and spatiotemporal visualization tools (SpreaD3) still widely used in research.
In the recent years I have specialized in blockchain infrastructure and privacy-preserving zero-knowledge cryptography, working primarily in Rust. I have hands-on experience across multiple blockchain ecosystems – Substrate, Ethereum, and EVM-compatible chains – building cross-chain bridges, on-chain applications, and ZK circuits in production.
I enjoy rapid prototyping, functional programming, and writing about computing topics on this blog. When I’m not coding you can find me climbing, mountain biking, or skiing.
